Question: Let's say that you took a two-hour drive to attend the temple. Another ward (three leaders and three YW) offered to babysit twelve babies (under 18-months-old) in order to raise money for camp while you did a session. How much do you pay them for your one child for 3.5 hours?

As a rule of thumb, we pay $3 per hour per child...now that we have 4 kids, it's not such a bad haul for one person or a couple young women.
ReplyDeletelike i told you, about $18. you should also mention that it wasn't "moms" doing the babysitting - it was YW doing fundraising.
ReplyDeleteben said $20.
If they didn't tell me how much they were charging, I would give them at least $20, maybe more (especially if it was a fundraiser).
ReplyDeleteI'd say $10 but I guess I'm cheap! If you're fundraising, I guess whatever you can splurge to make them feel good :)
ReplyDeleteThe going rate for a babysitter in my ward, YW or not is a fat $10/Hr. I don't have any idea what it would cost for more than one child.
ReplyDeleteWho WERE these cheap people? ;)
