High School Reunion

In case you didn't already know how old I am, you're about to be able to do some math and figure it out. Last Saturday was my 20-year high school reunion. I wasn't able to make it (ahem, surgery, kid still in school, all extra monies going to the Scamp...you know, your usual excuses), but I got to see some pictures on Facebook of the event.

But, um, 20 years? Really? I've really been out of high school for twenty years? How is that possible as I'm only 27? (I think this is the age I'll feel like forever.) Getting older is weird.

And yes, I am currently sporting the exact same hair and the exact same earrings, thankyouverymuch.

  1. I love this! You really look pretty much the same. I feel like I dress the same as in high school (but my body sure isn't the same... 4 kids...yikes!). It kills me how often I catch myself saying stuff like "we've been friends for 20 years" or "the last time I ate this was 2 decades ago." I'm very glad that we are friends now, since we wouldn't have been friends in high school!

  2. Aw, you're so cute! So did the FB pics make you sad/glad you didn't go? And, totally, 27 is what I think/picture myself as, too.

  3. Same earrings? Wow! Eternal age of 27? This makes me ponder what age I would like to eternally sport.... And I think you look great! Then and now!

  4. You look the same!! And I am totally sporting the same hairdo that I had 20 years ago, too, so no worries.

And yes, I am curious like Emily, were you sad that you didn't go or did you not care? My reunion is at the beginning of August and of course I'm not going but for the first time tonight I kind of wished that I was.
