Let's say that you just came into $5,000. Assuming that your savings accounts are well-stocked, what do you do with it?
A. Take a trip with the kids
B. Take a trip without the kids
C. Redo your kitchen counters
D. Buy a (used) pop-up camper
E. Save it because really, you're just too responsible
F. Other ___________ (Please specify)
You know, hypothetically speaking of course.
P.S. Emily found this ice cream pie recipe and I'm just looking for an excuse to make it. Can anyone give it to me?

Totally c...redo kitchen counters!Or I would buy a new couch. Or a new rug and living room accessories. Or I would fix up my basement. Or buy new shutters. Or redo one of my bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteOh why don't I have 5,000 extra dollars??? I would put it to good use!
I would take the family to Hawaii. Al's sister has been there for 5 years and we've not been able to visit, yet.
ReplyDeleteIf she did not live in Hawaii, I would save it...I have a hard time spending money.
And your excuse for making the pie? It's Friday, celebrate! Or you put your shoes on the right feet today, celebrate!
gosh, that's really hard. ben would say B. he's been telling me he wants to go somewhere just with me. i tell him it's impossible. how nice am i? :)
ReplyDeletebut, me? sheeesh, assuming our savings are very well-stocked i can think of a lot of things. a new fridge. a family trip. a new rug in our living room. new clothes. a pop-up would be sweet if i could convince ben. that's a good start.
what do YOU want to do?
I vote for re-doing the kitchen counter tops. You'll appreciate those every day. That, or I have been watching way too much HGTV.
ReplyDeleteKitchen counters and mini vacay. You could definitely do both with 5000. And that ice cream pie...we make it at least once a month. I thought I had invented it! I just have never done a topping in it. It makes two 8 inch round pies, so whenever I feel like someone could use a treat, I make them, give one away and keep one for myself. Excuse enough?
ReplyDeleteI just buy the pre-made graham cracker crusts...
ReplyDeleteB then C!!!!!! Does that make me sound selfish?? See, Rhett won't remember a trip right now, but you WILL. And you spend all of your time with him, which you LOVE, I'm sure, but you'll LOVE it even more if you have a chance to MISS him. Works everytime for me!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteTrip without the kids or kitchen counter. But more importantly...bring the ice cream pie to the peep show contest on the 20th.
ReplyDeletepop up camper or counters. : ) though a trip sans kids is tempting....
