As Chuck is home with Christmas Break, we decided to go bowling with Rhett. Rhett's never been and Chuck and I have only been once as a married couple. Le'ts just say this: it was hysterical. Even though the balls are smaller than regular bowling balls, Rhett is still too little to have enough strength to propel the balls. Every roll was an adventure.
The first roll down the lane was from where he picked up the ball (about eight feet shy of the line). Another "roll" had him kicking the ball down the lane. Of course we had one that stopped mid-lane. And surprisingly, we had one that was going so slowly that when it hit a pin, it not only didn't knock it over, but the ball came rolling back towards us. Awesome.
Excuse the pictures. The camera battery died immediately and we had to use Chuck's new iTouch thingy.
We just went duckpin bowling last week. Chase was a hoot! We had the same experiences as Rhett. I usually get the first ball started and immediately start another one before the first has reached the pins....otherwise we're always waiting on Chase to take his turn.
ReplyDeleteYour talks were great, BTW! We even discussed them over dinner last night as we were writing out our goals for 2011. I asked if anyone listened to the talks on Sunday and what did the speakers talk about. Lillee (age 6) said, "They talked about making goals." Big thumbs up for getting the 6 year old to listen :)
We also discussed how to make goals based on your suggested steps and how to make them righteous. That discussion came up when Lillee's goal for 2011 was to be able to beat the bosses in her Kirby videogame LOL
Chase is sick and Al has been working late so I've not been able to get out, but I promise I'll get the stencil soon! I'm excited to get the bag made.
I had been wanting to take this kids duckpin bowling for years- we never made it though :(

Your Christmas looks like it was wonderful! My boys LOVED LOVED LOVED their bags! They have been on a trip with us and to church. They are perfect! Thank you!
