Do you know what HTTP stands for, without checking Wikipedia?
What is your "go to" shoe for winter? Even if they're still in wearable condition, I think I need to toss my well-loved Dansko clogs for something more age- and style-appropriate.
Related: Do you know how hard it is to buy shoes when you have little feet? Do you normal-footed people even know that the smallest size most shoe makers make is a size 6? This does NOT help me.
Double Related: Do you know how hard it is to buy knee-high boots for a size 5 foot? Those select shoemakers making shoes of this size think all size 5 calves are thick as my thumb. Again, this does NOT help me.
How cute are these boys?

I had to look it up :)
ReplyDeleteMy go-to winter shoes WERE my plaid skechers (similar to these: http://www.amazon.com/Skechers-Womens-Debytantes-Plaid-Skimmer/dp/B001UQ5BNY). However, last week I spilled a candle all over myself and my favorite shoes so I now need a new pair of go-to favorites.
You have the same problem with shoes that I do, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm a size 10-11. I cannot find knee high boots because I have large calves and boots won't accomdate them. And even though 10's are made by every shoe company, they're NEVER in stock. And I must try on a pair of shoes before purchasing them so online buying isn't practical in my opinion.
Ok, I really didn't look at the comment above or wikipedia, but I THINK http stands for: hyper text transfer protocol???
ReplyDeleteAm I right? If I am, yes I am a total nerd. Guess that is what working at the computer lab in college gets you!
no idea.
ReplyDeleteyes, i totally know. :) so agree with boots - i've never owned one since my shoe-size is equivalent to a 4th graders' but sadly my calves aren't.
completely cute!
I am in the same boat as Amanda - I wear a size 10 and I can ALWAYS find super cute shoes in small sizes, but they don't stock them in my size. Plus, let's be honest and just acknowledge that most shoes look a lot cuter in smaller sizes than in the boat version that I wear. It drives me crazy! Wouldn't it be nice if we were all a size 7?
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with Dansko clogs? I'm wearing them right now :)
ReplyDeleteI have no empathy for you. I have a men's size 7 with a width of 6E. New Balance is about the only shoes I can find!!! Your Dad
ReplyDeleteNope, no idea what that means! Good luck on the shoes! No fun!
ReplyDeletehyper text transfer protocol.
ReplyDeletethat is a bummer about small feet. I always thought that would be a plus because the clearance racks seem full of super-cute small shoes but ugly or zero size 9's.
maybe shop overseas? perhaps it's just american sizing for boots. I haven't ever bought stylish boots, but i like the idea. a friend highly recommends TJ Maxx, but that's prob only for size 6-7.5's.
so what's wrong with the clogs? they look great to me!
