What Say Ye?

Chuck and I are interested in getting a sandbox for Rhett. We think he'd love it. I'd prefer to stay away from plastic but to buy a new wooden one can be quite expensive. So being the proud people we are, we think we can just make one, never mind that neither of us has much (read: any) experience with power tools. But we like problem solving, and Chuck is my lead designer for all of my crafting projects. What do you think? Can we build this?

  2. You can build this and it would be easy to figure out dimensions and such. We've been talking of building a tree fort/playset for the kids and even with all the power tools we own and a very handy husband, we found it was cheaper and easier to purchase a kit than to do it on our own. The wood isn't so expensive, but all those bolts, washers and t-nuts can get expensive as well as the accessories (slide, swings, climbing wall, etc).

I was just getting ready to post about our new playset. It took 4 days to assemble it!

  3. of course you can! just keep in mind, sandbox = neighborhood kitty litter box. you may want to come up with some sort of cover for your own protection.
