How I Spent My Christmas Money So Far...

A new (to me) Bosch mixer! Now to make the six loaves of bread at once like my Mom used to do. (Note: This is not a picture of my new machine, just one very similar. I forgot to take a picture before it was put in its new storage space.)

Four jars of this totally yummy to-die-for hot pepper jelly. I am so in love with it. So much so, I might marry it (a la this). Seriously.

And totally unrelated, but I have to ask. So. Chuck tells me that for as long as he can remember, he suffers with chronic stuffed nose syndrome (yes, it's totally a technical name). You know, like when you're sick and your nose is stuffed? Yeah, he has that ALL. THE. TIME. Can you imagine? I tell him this is most definitely not normal and should be looked at by a doctor. He just laughs at me and tells me I'm crazy. But I'm not, right? I am, in fact, quite right, right?!

Only three more days 'til Utah!

  1. Where on earth did you find out about that jelly? I went to the site and it must be good if it is the only product they sell! What do you put it on? I'm about to buy some and ship it to my parents address!
Chuck NEEDS to go to the doctor. Stat. That sounds awful!
I'm glad you and Rhett are feeling better though! When my kids are sick, the only things we do is watch movies. Especially if they are throwing up- its the only way to keep them in one place!

  2. Has Rhett been throwing up? May have been something from nursery. Chase started throwing up at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning...BLEH. Unfortunately, anything like this also causes an asthma flare-up this time of year so he is a miserable little guy.

6 loaves of bread at once?!?! WOW! That is awesome. I would actually bake bread again if I could mass produce it like that.

As for the nose thing, it is definitely worth seeing an allergy specialist. We've been trying to figure out what is going on with Connor's nose. I felt terrible when the Dr asked him how long he had been having problems with his sinuses and he said, "Pretty much my whole life." We did discover he has some allergies and are treating those, but the problem still isn't completely resolved.

Anyway, point being, make an appt for Chuck if he won't do it himself :)

  3. love the bosch! love now that i get mom's. :) but, seriously, i'm jealous you have one NOW. can't wait for you to whip up 6 loaves. so cool.

glad you like the jelly - i know it would be too spicy for me.

and, yeah, i would have a doc check into chuck's nose problem. seriously, that is no fun to have for an entire lifetime. maybe he has sinus issues. or something that could be relatively easy to fix.

  4. Erin, I feel kind of obligated to comment...

Since Chuck has had the symptoms for so long, you can at least feel good that it's probably nothing big and bad. That being said, there is probably something that can be done about it and best case scenario is that there is a surgical "cure." If you have the option in your health plan, try and go see an ENT doctor (Ear, Nose, Throat or Otolaryngology).
